Stormy Weather: Getting Prepared for the Storms to Come |
We have been very blessed to be spared from many hardships associated with crazy weather. Others aren’t so lucky.
I like the idea of being prepared for severe weather, in its many forms. Preparedness is not just for people wearing tin foil hats. It’s for practical people who understand that the time to get the things you need is before a disaster strikes.
A Call to Preparedness
As a new blog focused on providing resources for homeschoolers, homesteaders, and those seeking faith-based guidance, I believe in the importance of being prepared for potential disasters. While I have several posts in the works about preparedness, I understand that building a comprehensive resource takes time. That’s why I want to direct you to some helpful information about preparedness available in my “Free Resources” under Homestead Resources or by clicking here.
I sourced these resources from a preparedness manual distributed online by the LDS Church. While I am not a member of the LDS Church and may not agree with all aspects of their doctrine, I found the information in that manual to be valuable and practical.
Building a Preparedness Foundation
Rather than reinventing the wheel, I've taken sections of that manual and broken them down into bite-sized pieces. This serves as a starting point for both the prepping beginner and myself as a new blogger. My goal is to be a reliable resource for my readers, even if that means directing them to the resources that have been most helpful to me.
